The Concord Planning Board

INFORMATION

In January and February of 2000, the Concord Planning Commission created and mailed a survey questionnaire to 415 full-time residents whose names were compiled from the registered voters list. Of the 49 (12%) that were returned, the planning commission compiled a report that was sent to the Select board.

Although the responses and comments were numerous and varied, the Select board took action on the most significant issues, and within a year, things changed. Because of the citizen input from that 2000 questionnaire, Concord now has recycling, speed limit and other signage on all our town roads, a better overall road system and road maintenance, and numerous other changes both major and minor.

The Town of Concord Vermont is currently in the process of re-writing our town plan . This document looks at the overall state of Concord and our current community services, and proposes to take a "snapshot" of the attitudes, perceptions, and ideas of the people involved in our town; where we are now, and what we'd like Concord to be in the future.

Comments and suggestions should be submitted to: webmaster@concordvt.org or contact us at: Concord Planning Commission, PO Box 317 Concord VT 05824. Your input is essential to the future of our town.

Thank you!
