How Planning Works Graphic. Input from individuals, clubs, civic groups and others goes to the planning board who create a plan. A public hearing is held on the plan, and it gets passed to the selectboard

The Planning Board gets input from individuals, clubs and organizations, business and others, and compiles the plan from that input.

The Planning Board then holds a public hearing on the plan it has created, and passes the plan to the Selectboard for consideration and a second public hearing.

The citizens or Selectboard then vote on the plan.

Once the plan is adopted, it may then be submitted to NVDA for regional approval.
